I cannot download updates

I can install the updates its saying, but, It will not download them. I
have not been able to download any updates since 11/29. I have tried a
number of things, and I just need someone to help me. I am willing to
learn how to fix this, so, if anyone out there, can help me, I'd really
appreciate it. Thanks so much, MrsC

Can you describe your symptoms a bit more? I am having simular issues.
Does Windows Update tell you what updates are available, then you click to
install them - but the download process never starts?

Yes, it will let me INSTALL them but, to DOWNLOAD them is another
thing....I keep having to try and install the SAME update with the
yellow shield...it won't let me get any further than that...like I said
no updates since 11/29..I am set for Auto Updates, they were downloading
themselves.

Can you give a little more information about your problem.
What Operating System are you using and what browser, you say you can
install but not download.
I'm sorry but you can't install anything until it has downloaded. What
happens when you try to download the updates, do you get any error messages.
How have you got your security settings, is it on Automatic Update or are
you notified about Updates for your machine ?
Someone should be able to help if you give them a few more details to work
with <g>

I'm operating Windows XP, I do not get an error message, its just that
it will not download any updates....it runs through like it's working,
but, in about 1 minute, the yellow shield shows back up on the taskbar,
and when I click on it, it's the same update that it showed was
downloaded earlier...I have it on Auto Update...thanks for the
help..
