Updating to Windows XP to Service Pack 2 Problem

Hello-

I wanted to update my Norton Antivirus protection and realized i have to
update to the Windows XP Service Pack 2. In trying to download the Service
Pack 2, I have tried 5 times now and each time during the update process it
gets to the point of copying all of my files and then says access denied.
WHY? and what can i do? Thank you for any assistance.

You receive an "Access is denied" error message when you try to install Windows XP Service
Pack 2
