I am on a dial-up connection, and the updates I need are 55 meg. It would
take 5 hours plus to download that much info. Do I have any other options,
such as purchasing a disk?

Friends/Family/some other place with high-speed Internet and some method of
saving the updates you need to a CD/DVD/thumb drive/etc and getting them to
you.
Otherwise - if you don't pay by the time/amount on your dial-up and your
connection is stable (you do not disconnect after some amount of time) -
simply start the download, go away - come back later and check on it. Do it
before you go to bed.
Windows version?
