Suppressing individual Windows Updates
Is there a way of stopping particular Windows Updates from trying to
install themselves on WinXP? I'd really like Windows Media Player 11
not to come back, having just had to go through the process of rolling
back to version 10 so that my mp3 players are detected properly.

- Visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
- Scan (Custom)
- Find the update you would *not* like to see anymore and UNCHECK it.
- That should 'expand' it's description (if it does not - expand it) and
check the box to not show it anymore.
