Im tring to install SP2 in my computer ans it stops and gives me Error Code:
0x80070005.
Does anyone knows what to do?

You receive an "Access is denied" error message when you try to install
Windows XP Service Pack 2

I am having an identical problem in installing Service pack 3! 'Access is
denied' and 'unistall' begins running.
Dos this fix work for this and is anyone else having this issue? I've NEVER
had problems installing MS updates

First, make sure that your anti virus software isn't locking the registry and preventing
the installer from modifying the same.

Error message when you try to install Windows XP Service Pack 3: "Access is denied" or
"Service Pack installation did not complete"

Yes - What a hassle. After doing the download, the install, the checks, the
registry update, the copying, the backups and more checks, it bombs with a
cryptic "Access Denied" error, and describes nothing about what caused the
error or any error code to track down a fix. AGGRAVATING! All security
software was turned off and machine rebooted prior to the attempt. Have
attempted 5 times with NO SUCCESS. What is the fix?
