windows update sp2

I try to update to windows sp2 but it stops half way into the download and
states that i I am not authorized. this is a large download so it takes
awhile to just to get half way and then have to terminate and it then removes
whatever it downloaded. this happens weather i a home or work. can anyone
help me with this.
