Statistics for daily downloads from windows update

I am writting a paper about how microsoft uses the internet and am not
sure if there is a public location to get statistics on downloads from
windows update and or microsoft update. I know hte number is going to
be mind numbing but would like a reference to use and ball park
numbers for my paper.
