Problems after installing updates..Media Player won't work,can't h

After installing updates on Nov. 14th, my computer with Vista will not work
properly. It's like everything has changed for the bad. No sound, can't
hibernate, screen resolution is messed up, etc. I uninstalled all the
updates for that day, but it didn't help. Is there something else I can do
before I try to restore my computer originally? Any help please!

I had the same problem. I used systems restore, computer crashed 2 times but
then when I went back a week, it worked. I'm afraid to download the update
now, although it continues to prompt me. my computer is working a bit less
efficiently now but no where near what the problems were before i did the
systems restore. good luck.

I talked to a friend locally who told me to do a system restore in windows,
not in the F6 screen, I was able to go back and restore to last Wed. and now
it works great! I spent over a day trying to fiddle with it, and he tells me
what to do and it took about 3 minutes. Thanks for the advice.
