Windows XP Update

I've repeatedly attempted to update my upgrade to XP only to be told that the
updates were not installed. It seems, on some occasions, that no data is
actually downloaded to install. It will say 90+ updates have been downloaded
and are ready to install but. . . then nothing installs.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation
