Window Updates

I recently had my motherboard replaced on my PC. When using Window Updates it
says the following updates could not be installed:

Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1
Update for Windows XP
Window Genuine Advantage Validation (twice)

Have you done a repair installation of Windows XP afterwards? If true,
see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144/en-us

If that doesn't help, please provide the error code shown on the
Windows Update site using the "History" link on the left side there
for the failing updates.
