RE: Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130) install fails

Well, this all seems to have halted in mid-october and I have the same
problem as you in mid-november.
I use Zone Alarm security suite and have turned off AV and anti-spyware and
still fail on download.

I would welcome response from anyone.

Disable that bunch of brainless applications *completely* or even
uninstall that one at least temporary and enable Windows Firewall
instead.

I just use MBSA to get updates.

Too bad though that Live OneCare keeps reminding me that I need to download
critical updates when in fact 'Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool
(KB892130)' isn't critical at all.

You only need to install KB892130 if you update via Windows Update website.
