8024402C error when checking updates!

I have 2 PC's, one attached directly to my cable modem/router and one
on a wireless internet. There is no problems with the one on the
modem, but I was getting an 8024402C error when trying to apply the
latest Media Center update. I have checked the last 1,000 messages
and done everything that was suggested for this error but nothing
worked. So I said "screw it" and hid the update. Now when I simply
check for updates, I now get the 8024402C error, so this means no more
updates until the error is fixed!

Both PC's are Dell XPS410 desktops with Vista Home Premium. Can
anyone help?

Me again . . . my wife's PC has not been touched since the 3 or so
hours since I posted the above message. I just checked for new
updates and it worked fine and so did the Media Center cumulative
update. It looks like the problem was at the MS server end of things!
