Patricia, you a genius! Updates are working now. I have another problem on
another machine. Maybe you have an idea. It's running XP pro. No logon or
logoff sounds. This started after a virus from a bad site. I cleaned the
computer and did a repair install but no sounds. The system sounds are in
\windows\media and all play manually. All the other sounds work fine. I've
tried checking the beep on errors box in Tweakui and all the fixes from
Kelly's site. Any ideas would be most appreciated.
