Outlook update failed

I´m running windows XP. I have originally Office 2000, ugraded to Office 2003
and then Office 2007. MSN wants me to instlla updates for Outlook 2003 trash
filter. But the update installation fails. Previously this has happened when
I haven´t had all my external HDs attached. But now I have them all aattached
and it still fails.
Any suggestions?

I am cheating! I have just signed-up for "DISCUSSIONS" but find I can get
no response to the "start a new thread" option. I am trying this in
desperation to see if I have to make a contrinbution before it will allow me
to start a new thread. Sorry to have bothered hyou.
