Vista Ultimate-64 Update problem

Hi, I recently bought a new computer and installed Windows Vista Ultimate, I
connected to the internet to download the new updates, I then restarted my
computer to allow the updates to take effect and now Windows won't start up
again, I repaired Vista and tried again but the same problem happpened.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?

I have also had the same problem you discribed. I am building a gaming PC and have all the latest equipment. After I loaded Vista 64 on my system everything appeared to be working. But after it automaticly updated a 3:00 am, the system was stuck in a boot up loop. It would display the BIOS screen then momentaraly show the Microsoft logo, then reboot itself. I ended up reloading the OS, and again it worked until I got the updates. By the way there were about 50 important updates loaded. I am thinking about loading a few at a time, to find out which one os hosing the system.
