Your post is not a security issue.
Everyone does not experience your problems so something other than
Windows Vista must be at least partially involved.
If you do not like Windows Vista, return it as long as you have had it
less than 45 days.
Sometimes easier in North America than other regions.
Post specifics of your problems in an appropriate newsgroup and
someone will probably be able to help.
If you upgraded to Windows Vista, did you make sure your hardware and
software are compatible with Windows Vista:

The Upgrade Advisor is just that an advisor, it is not a magic bullet
for upgrade possibilities.
You should also verify Windows Vista compatibility with the
manufacturers of your essential hardware and software.
