Top Ten Reasons to not 'upgrade' to Windows Vista: ?
Top Ten Reasons to not 'upgrade' to Windows Vista:

1) when I close Internet Explorer, there's an error "Internet Explorer
has
stopped working -- restarting" and it restarts!

2) I saved a file to a floppy in Notepad, now Notepad refuses to save
anything unless I have a floppy disk in the drive (when I want to
save
elsewhere); in 98 I used to "cancel" then choose my destination.

3) IE & MP refuse to remember their last position/size

4) the default setting for shut down is "sleep", instead of the last
option used (eg. "Restart")

5) the help files aren't written in Vista format, so can't be fully
accessed within Vista.

6) it needs a popup display & significant time to move an empty
folder
into another folder

7) HELP needs a call outside Protected Mode and requires permission
to
continue (and HELP is no longer included on your computer -- you must
have
internet to get help, because Vista can't read help-format files that
come with
90% of the software out there!

8) "The RPC server is unavailable" when I rt-clk 'Save Picture
as...'"

9) Mainly the fact that Vista just does things without regard for
what's good &
useful to the USER (see #7 above)

10) The screensaver comes on and won't go away on the first touch of
the
mouse or keyboard!

Your post is not a security issue.
Everyone does not experience your problems so something other than
Windows Vista must be at least partially involved.

If you do not like Windows Vista, return it as long as you have had it
less than 45 days.
Sometimes easier in North America than other regions.

Post specifics of your problems in an appropriate newsgroup and
someone will probably be able to help.

If you upgraded to Windows Vista, did you make sure your hardware and
software are compatible with Windows Vista:

The Upgrade Advisor is just that an advisor, it is not a magic bullet
for upgrade possibilities.
You should also verify Windows Vista compatibility with the
manufacturers of your essential hardware and software.

Don't encourage him. He is trolling. I have seen this before. Why
go to a ng for people interested in and for the most part using Vista
and tell them "Don't convert to Vista!" ?

I'll tell you why. It is so soppy sods like us will argue which will
give him someone almost non virtual with whom to communicate which, in
turn, will save a bit of effort on his wrist...pro temps anyway.
