error code 80073712

vista tried to update. All the updates took except for kb954155. I
have tried to do the stand alone update and it will not take. I have
gone into the datastore and removed the folders in there to try and get
it to install with no luck any ideas?

Try also this one with aggressive mode:'How do I reset Windows Update
components?' (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058)
If it don't help too:Are you sure you have trouble with only one
hotfix?
Error which you have as far as I know addressed to coruption files in
*C:\Windows\Servicing* and *C:\Windows\WinSxS* folders (if easy things
don't help). If you already ran Readiness Tool it should created
*CheckSur.log* file in *C:\Windows\Logs\CBS* folder -please paste this
log to post

Megabyteme,

The error has *nothing* do to with the Datastore subfolder rather,
there's corruption or inconsistencies in WinSxS.
Did you run the System Update Readiness Tool as Flavius had previously
suggested ?
Error 80073712 is listed on the error table and running CheckSUR
*should* resolve it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821

As you can see this file is corrupted.I attached to post required
file,download it and unpack anywhere

1.Navigate to *C:\Windows\WinSxS\Manifests* folder,takeownership of
this folder and add your account to have full control
2.Copy my file to this folder -Even if you have already this file then
replace it.
3.Remove your account from permissions to Manifests folder
4.Restore ownership of Packages folder back to "NT
Service\TrustedInstaller"
