Can I run IE6 on Vista?
Hello MVP's and other IT Knowledge purveyors,

My client requested 3 new PC's with Vista and Office 2007. I complied
and set them up on the SBS 2003 Domain.

(There was a problem saving Office 2007 documents to the SBS Shares
but that is another question)

Our issue is that a 3rd party Application can only be executed in an
IE6 environment! Tsk tsk with the 3rd Part App's ...

Is there a feasible way to uninstall IE7 and reintegrate IE6 on a
Windows Vista PC?

Any pointers welcome ...

Re: Can I run IE6 on Vista?

The first thing I would do is contact the 3rd party developer and find
out exactly why it won't work in IE7. I'm sure they would want to
eventually fix that. It might be a simple solution.

If that doesn't get you anywhere, the only other solution would be to
use a virtual machine or terminal services to run an older version of
Windows with IE6.

Or order downgrade right media and roll back to XP.

Also ensure you have loaded up the SBS ripcurl fixes

Try "run as" and "Run as XP" as that will sometimes do the trick as well.
