RE: HPQWMIEX.EXE error while starting Notebook
hpqwmiex.exe is an HP utility that is installed along with either the HP
Protect Tools or HP Image Express. Neither is typically very critical to your
system operation so you can probably remove them and the problem would go
away. This is a known problem with that tool. There is a long thread on it

From what I glean from that thread, there is no fix for this yet from HP.
They would be the ones that would have to produce a fix though.
