Norton 360 on vista
I have recently bought a Philips 15NB5700 laptop with windows vista home
premium, i installed norton 360 which i thought seemed to all have installed
properly. However, i have found that if i try and open norton 360 security
panel or do a scan then i am faced with a security code alert reading 'DLL
Loading problem,or debugger detected,or integrity violated',the same also
happens if i attempt to uninstall it.any ideas anyone?

You may not like my answer, but here it is anyway. In my view, and
that of many of us here, Norton is the *worst* security software
available. My recommendation is to dump it and replace it with any of
several other choices, many of which are free.
I recommend Avast Antivirus, and for anti-spyware, the combination of
two or more of the following, all free:
Spyware Blaster
Adaware
Spybot Search and Destroy
Windows Defender
Super Antispyware

One should never install anything from Norton or McAfee.

Re: Norton 360 on vista
I use Norton Internet Security 2007 on my laptop running Vista Home premium.
I have no problems with it. I did download a trial copy of Norton 360 and
did not like it.

Norton 360 is crap! I had it installed on two laptops. I just
unistalled it two days ago on one & installed CA. This w/e I'll
delete from the other laptop. It slowed my stsyems down; constant
errors, email issues, etc. Junk!

Re: Norton 360 on vista
I recommend MS Live OneCare... 2 reasons:
1. comes with a 90 day trial (picked up a full version for $40).. will
activate when time's up
2. it's from Microsoft!! probably a good idea to let these guys fix their
own vulnerabilities!
