The Task Manager program won't run, dialog box says it has been disabled by
administrator. I (admin) didn't disable it, what gives?
thanks

RE: Task Manger disabled
I am having the same problem. I can't figure out how to turn task manager
back on. The only thing I can think I did to disable it was set up a network.
Any one else?

Re: Task Manger disabled
Being the Admin you shouldn't have this issue.

You should be able to open Task Manager by right-clicking an empty area on
the taskbar and then clicking Task Manager, or by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC

Another method if that doesn't work would be to execute it through your
system route.:
Goto run window ( Start / All Programs / Accessories / Run )
Then type in "%systemroot%\system32\taskmgr.exe" Do NOT use quotes.
Then click OK and you should be running Taskmgr

Using Registry Editor to enable the Task manager
Click Start, Run, type regedit and click OK.
Navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System]
In the right pane, delete the "DisableTaskMgr" key.
Log off for the change to take effect
