Parental Controls
I am the only user on my computer, so I use the administrator account. I am
having issues with parental controls blocking me from doing certain things,
(playing a downloaded game... family feud!) from a trusted site, but when i
go to set parental controls, I am told that there are none set for the
administrator account.
Please help?

Re: Parental Controls
I have already checked that, and it's not the issue. I even made another user
account and set the parental controls to off, and still i couldn't play the
game.
I'm finding myself not wanting to use that computer, and I just bought it
last week.
Thank you for your suggestion

You need to see what third-party software you have installed. It sounds
like you have McAfee, Norton, or even ISP-provided security software
where you've (inadvertently) activated the parental control functions.

Re: Parental Controls
I have the same problem, Fanny, and I am feeling your frustration, too. I
have tried the fixes listed by Malke and Pete and still have no go.
Actually, it is funny b/c it is with the same family feud 2 game. It is not
a Norton block message, it is from the Vista parental controls. I am the
only user on this computer.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO TURN OFF PARENTAL CONTROLS COMPLETELY? Seems like
it is a gross programming oversight if you cannot.

Given that another user has the same problem with the same game, I
suspect it's the game, and not Vista, that is at fault. (It's up to the
programmers of the games to disable the game when parental controls
don't allow it - they probably have a bug there).
As a workaround, maybe it will work if you create a non-administrator
account, turn on parental controls, and allow all games on that account.
