New Vista System Backup - No Boot Disk?
Hi,
I just created my first DVD set from the new system backup tool.
I'm used to system backup's because Acronis True Image is my good friend for
a while.
Now testing the new DVD set I realize those are not bootbable disks and then
we must boot Vista to access the set!
So if i cannot normally boot vista i cannot restore my backuped image!
What's this new backup system tool for? Just for minor bugs? What about a
real HD or system issue?

Thinking better Acronis True Image still is my pal...

You boot from the Vista installation DVD. From there you can
launch the restore.

Re: New Vista System Backup - No Boot Disk?
Greetings...

I purchased a Vista Ultimate upgrade download directly from Microsoft. It installed over Windows XP on my dual boot mac. Incidentally - I really like Vista, it's too bad that it seems like many people have inconsistant experiences with it, so far I have had no problems.

My question is... is there a way to make a boot disk so that I will be able to access my full pc backup should I need to. Acronis provides a boot utility to restore, it seems like Windows would do the same but I can't find any mention of it.

Thanks!
