Unable to open C++ files
I have a C++ console application that ran under XP but is having problems
under Vista. I am trying to compile a static library under a Symantic
compiler. The compiler is unable to open #Include files. I have all
permissions and ownership for those files. I am running DOS as an
Administrator. I am able to open the files in Exolorer.

Mystery!

RE: Unable to open C++ files
What is your error message? If you have a problem with the Symantec compiler
you may want to talk to them. Most people here would probably use the MS
compiler.

Re: Unable to open C++ files
Yeah, Visual C++ 2005 Express Editions is free and more than adequate for
compiling c++ files.

Re: Unable to open C++ files
Hi,

Try running Process Monitor from SysInternals (if it will run on
Vista?), this should be able to identify why the files are not able to
be opened.
