RE: Installing Epson Stylus 740 printer
I have managed to find an answer to my own question. Yes the fact that I had
to manually browse for directories was connected to my driver installation
problem. I did some more searching and found that this problem is quite
widespread. It is caused by a corrupted c:\windows\inf\infcache.1. I deleted
this file and then I was just able to insert the USB cable and the printer
driver installed automatically.
