Sorry about the duplication.
I'm dual booted and have no problems with my HP printers in accessing
them from both XP and VISTA but unless Epson is radically different I
would try reinstalling the driver for VISTA with the printer turned off
and with the USB cable unplugged from the PC.
I don't see a VISTA driver at:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...supDetail.jsp?
oid=14359&prodoid=176022&BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoTy pe=Downloads&platform
=Windows&x=16&y=9
so you may have to use the XP package:
Printer Driver v5.2baA
Windows XP, Windows 2000
epson10613.exe - 5.7MB - posted on 12/04/02
It's pretty old but try installing it using Compatibility mode set to
XP with SP2 and check [x] Run as Administrator.
First of all remove all references in VISTA to the printer including
any icon for it in the VISTA equavalent of START / Settings / Printers
& Scanners, turn off and unplug the USB cable, reboot the computer and
then start the installation by right mouse clicking on the downloaded
file (Use Save when you download, not Run) and selection Properties /
Compatibility TAB and then set as above.
Otherwise I guess it's time for a new printer! 8
