Increase number of rings
How do I increase the number of rings when sending a fax, before Windows
terminates the fax and considers it to have failed?

Re: Increase number of rings
Try adding several commas after the phone number. Each comma adds a 2-3
second delay to the dial sequence and this will keep the modem from starting
its connect timeout timer until the delay finishes.

Re: Increase number of rings

Hi there,
The problem is that in the 'use a carrier for long distance calls'
box... a comma is not a valid character!
It is a valid character in the 'prefix for external calls box' higher
up the list, though and this works!

Thanks for your input... now why couldn't that be in the Help! file?

Allan
