printer stops working

Halfway through printing a document vista stopped with a 'printer error'.
Now, it will never print on that printer again. Other computers (not using
vista) can print to it. I tried both network printing, and direct via a USB.
The computer can print to other printers at work, but I need to get it to
print at home. I tried deleting the printer and re-installing - no luck. The
error box lists that the print spooler crashed at the time of the problem,
but sending this error to microsoft gives 'problem still unsolved'. I've
rebooted, and also started/stopped the print spooler service. The printer is
an Epson Stylus Photo R200

What should I try next?

Try deleting the driver and installing the Generic IBM graphics printer
driver. Let us know.
