"GUI Installer Error" when installing Lexmark AIO on Vista

Hello ,
I'm getting this error when trying to install 2 Lexmark AIO applications
(1290 & 6170) on 2 different Vista based machines.

This happens with the Vista driver from Lexmark website and it shows up even
if i uninstalling any previous Lexmark AIO installations and rebooting the
system.
Same error shows up if i'm using the XP driver.
Same AIO installations i tried on other Vista based machines , worked
flawlessly.

Any suggestions ?

I have no suggestions but I have exactly the same problem as you. I
have _just_ buyed a new computer with Vista premium. When I tried to
install the new Vistadriver for my printer I get the same errormessage
as you:

GUI INSTALLER ERROR
ERROR BUILDING TEMPLATES. SOME GUI DATA MISSING ON THE XML.FILE

I downloded the driver from Lexmark wedsite.

Have you found any solutions?
Have you been in contact with Lexmark technical support?

I have the same problem here When I'm installing the Lexmark x3350
Vista-32bits drivers, it gives an error:

"Program Intallation GUI error:
Error while creating models of items. Some GUI data is missing in xml
file."

Someone help me please.
