Printer Error code "0x000003fa"

My Epson RX850 has worked fine for months, it disappeared and now I cannot
reinstall it, I get error code "0x000003fa" the scanner works fine however?I
have tried to install a different printer and get the same message. I printer
works fine on my XP machines.

0x3fa maps to ERROR_KEY_DELETED - "Illegal operation attempted on a registry
key that has been marked for deletion." A fairly guess would be that
something in your registry got corrupted.

Normally when the registry is broken that implies lots of problems--are you
seeing any other issues with the system? Is the other printer you were
trying to install also an Epson? Can you install a non-Epson printer?
