word pad printing issues

heh all

new to this world so excuse me if this an idiots problem!
i've just tried to print a document from word pad but the printer won't
have it. when i click on file to print, the box comes up and then when i
click on print it won't do it. when i click on search for solutions the
whole program just shuts down.
the printer is all set up, usb and all.
this is the first time it's done it as well, i haven't had any probs
before

Is your actual printer set as the default printer? Can you print OK from
all other applications?
