Windows Fax and Scan cannot access documents

I've read the previous posts on this, but still can't resolve my problem
in running WFS. Does the document folder need to be on the "D" drive?
My D drive is my HP recovery drive and I really don't want to mess with
that. I did have a folder called "Documents" at c:\, but I moved it
inside another folder but no change. THis is very exasperating and I
can't believe something like this keeps the entire application from
working. I just upgraded from Vist HP to Ultimate today, so I shouldn't
have any problems at all in my book. Please help! Thanks. RIch

Re: Windows Fax and Scan cannot access documents

I found a hidden file called "fax" at c:\users\rich\Documents\. I
deleted the file and created a directory called "Fax" at
c:\users\rich\Documents\ with subfolders called "Drafts," "Inbox," and
"Personal Coverpages." Clicked on Windows Fax and Scan, and viola!---it
works! I hope this helps someone.

Would have been nice if you had posted what you've already tried. There
appear to be some permission changes that occur whenever the default
Documents Folder is moved to another partition that interfere with WFS. For
similar problems the following procedure was recommended in the File
Management Group:

Locate cmd.exe with Quick Search and rt-click Run as Administrator. Change
the prompt to the partition where your Documents folder is stored, then
copy ->rt-click/paste the following command:
icacls documents /setintegritylevel (OI)(CI)low

It takes a minute or so to complete.
