Print hangs in cue when printing Vistax64 to XP
Hope someone can help.
Here are the system details: Laptop- HP with Vista Home Premium x64
printing to a HP desktop with XP x32 and a Lexmark 8350 all in one.
Print share is enabled on both as well as bidirectional support.
I've tried all remedies in the posts to get Vista x64 to print to xp
desktop with printer. Here's what I have. When I print to the
networked printer the print job window opens with the print job visible.
After a time I get and "unable to communicate" message and the job wont
complete. The local port path is correct. I have tried the manual
addition of the port with the network path to the printer as well as
downloading of the Vista x64 driver from Lexmark. The Lexmark driver
install program does fine and can install the driver and locate the
networked printer. It seems that something is blocking the
communication between the two systems.
Any Ideas?
