Try going into the Printer Properties and find the TAB that refers to spooling,
then set it to Print Direct to Printer.
If that does it you could try turning back on the spooler after rebooting once
to see if that clears a blockage.
START / ... Control Panel / Printers then right mouse click on your printer
icon and select Properties. Then browse until you find the TAB (Advanced?). But
if you are using the default VISTA driver built into VISTA that TAB may be
grayed out -- mine is -- and I don't know how else you may turn of Print
Spooling. Try looking in HELP for Print Spooler
