RE: Print Spooler
Its a combination of both. If you setup the Toshiba Copier on a 2003 Server
Print Server and you are using Vista which will automatically detect the
printer, the print spooler will fail. Also, you can not uninstall the printer
from the vista box because of some bug in Vista. You have to manualy remove
the driver from the registry under the following key...
navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\version 3
Remove the Toshiba driver and then go to your SERVICES.MSC and restart the
Print Spooler service.
Then add the printer using a local connection and use a TCP/IP port and what
ever the copiers ip address is and it will work fine.
I don't know if it is that the Toshiba drivers do not work on the Print
Server or if it is a bug with Print Servers and Windows Vista. I hope they
fix it soon.
