printing file without opening
In previous versions of windows I could high lite a group of files, right
click and choose print.

Windows would open all the files one at a time and print.

It seems in Vista I no longer have that option.

I need to print , for example, 45 single page word files and to do it , I
had to copy them to an XP machine and print from there.

Does Vista not allow printing of an unopened file ?

thanks

Re: printing file without opening
If all the documents are the same type the option will be available. So
print in groups by file type. Please note that *.doc and *.docx are
different types so you can't have both these file types in your highlighted
list - do all *.doc files then do all *.docx files.

Re: printing file without opening
It seems the "doc" folders when right clicked do not show "print" as an
option. If tried with "rtf" or adobe files the print command is present .

All files originated on a previos XP computer, mostly created with word 2003.
