Vista Business - Unable to create a print job.

Hi,

I am having printing problem on my Vista business machine. I have a printer
server (Windows 2003 server Domain Controller), and the new Vista is joind to
domain as a standard user. When I add shared printers to the Vista, it prints
out without problem. Problem is, however, after I restart the Vista, I am
getting this error messages everytime I tried to print test pages. "Test page
failed to print. Unable to create a print job".

Please help me.

Have you checked that the Print Service is online?

Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Services

Scroll down and make sure that the Print Spooler is activated.

follow this thread know what you are talking about. Also please try to

Print service is activated. My problem is as a few others in various
Vista forums: Can't access control panel from Windows --> Settings -->
Control Panel. Can't create a print job. None of the threads that I read
had a cure.

History: After using Vista Business a few months with no problem,
suddenly I cannot print. Can't print to any printer. This same thing
happened a few weeks ago also. Then, I swapped PC's with another.
Physically swapped. My Vista printed for him, so I swapped back. A week
later, same problem cropped up again.

Present: I cannot access Control Panel from the Windows bottom button.
I can only access Control Panel from "My Computer". When I try to print,
I get an error: Cannot Create a Print Job. This error is not caused by
the actual Richoh Laserjet nor the HP Inkjet. The error includes all
"printing", even to Adobe Pro. This issue has been reported in several
forums, but I did not find a definative solution.

Found a temporary fix for this problem on another forum.
Stop "SL UI Notification" service
Stop "Software Licensing" service
Restart "Software Licensing"
Restart "SL UI Notification"

Write a .bat file to do this for the next time.

Dear Chris,

Sorry for bringing up an old thread/post.

I have exactly the same problem with yours. I think you also have the same problem with the message form Vista saying that your copy of VIsta is not genuine eventhough we pay good money for it!!!

I want to 'kill' Bill Gates. Anyway have you found the permanent solution to all your problems and frustrations?

Appreciate if you let me know how tosolve it once and for all? Thanks
