Epson cx6400 access denied

I have an epson cx6400 running on my XP system which is a desktop with a home
network setup running from it. When i try to use my vista laptop via wifi to
access the printer following the add printer wizard i see the printer and get
connecting but then i get windows access to printer denied.
I have been using this printer via wifi on xp systems with no problems.
Also i did instal stright to laptop running vista and the printer worked fine.
Hope someone has an answer to my problem as its driving me MAD......
