Printer appears in "Printers" window, but not in File > Print dropdown list

I've had a terrible time reinstalling drivers for a Laserjet 3015 on a Vista
system. I thought I had it right the other night -- I can print a test page
from the Printers window > Properties for that printer > Print Test Page.

However, the printer doesn't show up in the File > Print > Printers window >
Name dropdown list! How can that be?

I tried all 3 UPD drivers from the HP site and they don't work.
3015 setup and worked fine on inital vista premium startup then I upgraded to ultimate and it completely lost the 3015 and can't recover or find a way to get back to the original vista setup. I've had no resonse from HP yet either.

Anybody finds a driver and method that works I'd sure like to hear. HP UPD's are not working from their site and HP is unresponsive.

I try delete printer from printers in control panel. Then I add it trought
add printer wizard in printers. It works to me.
