Faxing With Vista Home Basic

How do I fax from Vista Home Basic

You will have to purchase some fax software, like SnappyFax, or use an efax
service, as Fax & Scan is not included in the Home editions of Vista.

Hi George,

Your only option is to upgrade to Vista Ultimate or Vista Business, or
purchase a third party fax software solution.

Hi Dave,

I use fax talk communicator on vista home basic. But the fax works only with
administrator account. When I use guest account it does not receive any
faxes. I see that modem fails to initialize. Looks like its permission issue.
I gave the guest account full control on the fax commuicator folder. But its
still having that problem. How can i solve this?
