HP 6110 MFOD and JAVA

I had to re-install the 6110 after a system hang and found that I only
had the "View and Print" icons in the HP DIRECTOR. Nothing for
scanning or copying. (I can print) The only thing that I had added to
the system before the hangup was JAVA so I uninstalled JAVA and un-
installed/re-installed the 6110. Guess whut? It installed everything
just fine and all functions now show up in the HP DIRECTOR. Don't know
what JAVA is doing to the install but I DEFINATELY know it's affecting
it.

If you have any version of JAVA on your machine, try uninstalling JAVA
then installing the software for the 61xx.

After installation is succesful and you test all functions, re-install
JAVA. It's all good then!
