Volume shadow copy failure causes total re-install
After an initial install of about half of the system and
reinstating most of the data, "volume shadow copy" failed
causing explorer and InCD to fail. The system could not shut
down either- I had to manually interrupt power, then restart
from cold, and let the RAID verify and copy any corrupted
files (which was about half of the OS, or 65,535 files).
After that none of the CD/DVD drives could read any programs
discs to install them.
Anyone know why this happens with VSCS in VISTA. I had to
completely reinstall the OS before I could install any
CD-DVD software titles.
I had to then reverify the OS via the activation page. I
expected a problem, as with the initial install, had to
reset key with MS. The second install, to my knowledge went
fine and activated fine.
There is an issue with the sound card install, in that VISTA
will not allow custom mixer application (yet). My card uses
a special mixer to augment the "What U Hear" or "bridged
audio" for a recording source. This made it easy for me to
"capture" sound from a web service. The service didn't mind
this either. I would love to be able to use this feature
again, but for now I do the same with an external mixer. I
have to disconnect the loop so I can use a microphone as the
microphone does sound tinny with the loop present.

which describe him in the last days.
Is your quality found on this list??
