Font size in Vista

Hello everyone.

I am wondering if there is a way to increase font size in Vista without
adjusting the DPI scale. Some of my programs won't run correctly when I
adjust the font to a bigger size using the DPI scale method. I know how to
make font bigger in IE7, but is there a way to do this on the desktop and in
other programs? I want to keep running my monitor in its native 1280 x 1024
also.

Screen Settings | Advanced lets you change the font size for all the various
bits and bobs in the UI. Individual programs (such as word processors) let
you set the zoom level for the fonts used on their pages.

Or is this not what you were asking?

Perhaps the easiest way to change the font size in applications is to
hold down the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse. One way makes it bigger,
the other smaller.

This is a Windows standard, and works in most, but unfortunately not
all, applications.
