SearchFilterHost.exe accessing the Internet?

Can anyone say why SearchFilterHost is accessing the Internet? This is
supposed to simply manage search filters in Windows Search. For what purpose
would it be contacting Microsoft? Is it reporting my search usage and what
filters I have installed to Microsoft? If so, why is there no privacy
disclosure? What is being done with the information being reported to
Microsoft? How is it used?
