Adding to this post,
If you want to see just what your monitor can do,
Go to Control Panel Home,
Under Appearance and Personalization,
Click Adjust screen resolution,
Advanced settings,
List all Modes.
It will show you a list of Valid modes that your monitor is capable of,
Highlight the one you want to use and click OK.
