Low-Level Hum
To All Cognoscenti, Greetings!

My 4.1 Logitech speaker system emits a low-level hum when connected to my
brand-new Acer Aspire ASE380 with a SoundBlaster card in it running Vista
Ultimate. The problem didn't exist under Windows XP in my older computer,
using the same SoundBlaster card. What could be the cause of this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Low-Level Hum
It can be caused by a bad connection somewhere, or something not shielded
correctly in the new computer (which you wouldn't really have any control
over). Sometimes it can be a fan that causes a noise out of the speakers,
I've seen that a few times.

Re: Low-Level Hum
Thanks for all the helpful replies, guys. It was a poor connection: the speaker plug wasn't pushed in all the way.
