Merge Function in Word
When creating a letter with a BLOCK ADDRESS, the merge produced the following:

Name
Address
City on 3rd line
State with comma and Zip on 4th line

To teach my students, I now need to have them insert each variable field for
the address separately.

Question: Will MS fix this problem?

Re: Merge Function in Word
You might want to try asking your question in one of the Office
newsgroups...like microsoft.public.office.misc.

Re: Merge Function in Word
You do not give what version of Word -merge requires a "source" document -
Access, Excel, File you crearted and so forth - from which the data is is
selected for the place holders (name, address,etc.).

You might want to post to one of the newsgroups under microsoft.public.word.
This one is for issues relation to performance and maintenance of the the
