Problem with windows update installation
More than 12 hours ago, implemented a microsoft update on my computer. When I checked my computer about 7 hours later, I had a screen that read as follows: Installation service pack: stage 2 of 3 - 100% complete. The little busy thing was going around and around. It is now 5 hours later, and the screen is still no different. Nothing has changed. I believe the installation will never be completed.
Questions:
1. Is ther anything I can do to get this installation back on track?
2. Will I do any harm by turning off the computer, contrary to the windows message?
