chkdsk issue

Whenever I run chkdsk /r, it finds quite a few errors and corrects them.
An example is a lot of orphaned files. Then, if I run it again right
away, it does the same thing and finds the sa,e orphaned files. What
causes this and how can I correct it? Thank you.
