Slow boot but perfect once in Windows
I have a clean install of Vista Home Premium x64 installed on the following
setup:
5x 320GB Seagate Barracudas in RAID5
Highpoint 2320 RAID Controller
Core 2 Duo E6600
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3(rev. 3.3)
2x 1GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400(C4)
BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
The boot process seems unusually slow. For some reason it sits on a plain
black screen for some time before moving onto the screen with the logo and
loading bar where it all seems normal and loads at the speed I would expect.
Windows has definitely started booting when it sits on the black screen as I
am able to press F8 to get the boot options.
Once in Vista all seems normal. Any help is greatly appreciated as it's
driving me nuts!
